Moon Signs
By Sally Cragin

Last week we dedicated this space to the pursuit of money. This week it's the pursuit of sex (and love, and like, and crushes, and infatuation, and all of the emotions that roil the endocrine system). We're coming up on the spring equinox, when the sap rises in the trees (fill in your own pun here), so if you're looking for love, or hoping to better understand the love that's already found you, see whether these lunar transits don't help. Remember, when the moon is void-of-course, as it is Thursday and Friday, don't believe everything you hear. And get it in writing.

Wednesday, March 12 Waxing moon in Cancer. The moon and Mars are at war today: young men and nurturing women won't be getting along. Not a good day to have your H.R. interview (why do we have that department?). Rams and scales are especially prickly, but crabs are maudlin. Pisces and Scorpios, make your financial move today.

Thursday, March 13 Waxing moon in Cancer. Sulking feels so good, and your feelings are so delicate, and the moon is so out of whack. Cancers and Libras could be especially susceptible to bruising – be skeptical of their "oh, no dear, everything's fine." Water-sign people, especially Cancers, may read too much into casual stuff, like their partner flirting with the cable guy. Good night to stay in and carboload – together! VOC 4:22 a.m. to 4:04 p.m. tomorrow. Yes, you read that right.

Friday, March 14 Waxing moon in Leo. An all-day void-of-course means flirtation could be severely out of control. One minute you're having a casual conversation, and the next minute someone's all dewy-eyed and saying, "I didn't know you cared." Leos are exempt and can be the lions of love without fear. Yes, that means you initiate the conversation. Aquarians, you may be better off alone – no mysteries there. Geminis could be peacemakers, but Libras could be patronizing. VOC until 4:04 p.m.

Saturday, March 15 Waxing moon in Leo; the ides of March. Excellent night for a party, especially the loud, lubricious sort of get-together. Great weekend for talking to new people, even for Scorpios and Taureans, who may find passion sparking from the embers of what seems like an uncomfortable conversation (that's been true for a couple of days, actually). VOC 5:24 p.m. to 5:52 a.m. Sunday.

Sunday, March 16 Waxing moon in Virgo. How to make a bad relationship seem not so bad: ignore the trifles that have been getting at you for weeks – untidiness, criticism, and indifference to fitness. Sagittarians and Geminis could be especially irritating/irritable company, but Virgos could be the ones who know best. Virgos, don't self-censor right now – you can clear the air, especially with a fire- or air-sign lover.

Monday, March 17 Waxing moon in Virgo. Full-moon madness continues – how do I love thee, let me count the ways, and I may need a calculator. Taureans and Capricorns can take charge in relationships (but with a gentle touch). Pisces, feeling a little lost the past few days? The answer may not be with other people. Erotic activities for Scorpios and Cancers could help them turn off their minds.

Tuesday, March 18 Full moon in Virgo/Libra. This is also the sap moon, as in "don't be a." Seriously, an all-day void-of-course means assumptions could be dangerous, particularly for Geminis and Sagittarians who are in a "loose-lips" mode. Virgos, if you've needed time out, take it today. Libras, being forceful in romance is inevitable: jump right in. VOC 2:35 a.m. to 6:43 a.m.
KEY TO SALLY CRAGIN’S MOON SIGNS
This horoscope uses the passage of the moon as much as the sun to provide a forecast, and thus it’s applicable to everyone. However, the specific signs mentioned in each day’s forecast are receiving special attention from the universe. Each week all 12 signs will be mentioned, usually more than once.

When the moon is in your sun sign, you are beginning a new 28-day cycle. During that period expect really wide emotional swings. When the moon is opposite your sun sign, expect difficulties with your preferred gender, authority figures, and your better angel. When the moon is in Aries, it opposes Libra. Other oppositions are Taurus-Scorpio, Gemini-Sagittarius, Cancer-Capricorn, Leo-Aquarius, and Virgo-Pisces. The moon takes about two and a half days to cruise through a sign.

Still with me? Finally, as the moon changes sign, it will sometimes become “void of course.” This means it ceases to make major angles to planets. Consider this a null time, and try to avoid business decisions until this period is over. If you’ve got to make a move, stay skeptical. But it’s terrific for making art. All void-of-course times are pacific daylight. Visit www.moonsigns.net for more information. .
