TWILIGHT CIRCUS DUB SOUND SYSTEM

Netherlands-based radical dub ideologue Ryan Moore, a.k.a. Twilight Circus (www.twilightcircus.com) describes the atmospheres he creates as "cadaverous" — bass lines heavy enough to leave bodies on the floor, presumably, but with enough kaleidoscopic-melodic technique to tease out your soul as well. He'll bring 25 years of galactic dub experience to the always boomtastic Dub Mission weekly party.

Sun/15, 9pm, $6 advance, $8 door. Elbo Room, 647 Valencia, SF. www.elbo.com

Oaktown Love... Brothers and Sisters will always have great support from me and many folks. Great vibe and house beats for the dance floor. Bros n Sis/The People parties were in part inspiration for myself and About The Music crew to add to our cities scene by creating "Deeper Side of Soul" every 2nd Saturdays at La Estrellita Cafe 446 East 12th Street Oakland....and always NO COVER.

This Saturday we have special guests (The People) dj Cecil & (Funk Lab) dj Geo as well as myself Eric Groove.

Wanted to call DJ David Harness of Taboo at the Bench and Bar in Oakland(every first friday)out by name. More than a scenester, he is providing the soundtrack to this cultural, political and social moment. He along with the other DJs mentioned, are reconnecting limbs to bodies and bodies to community. They make sure we know that house music is old and new. Was our dancestors music and now ours by birthright/rhythm right/speaker right. Scenes come and go. House music carries on. Thanks for recognizing their gifts to us!

David is aces, and always lifts me to a higher plane, culturally, physically, and spiritually. He's playing here at Monroe in North Beach at 6am this Sunday morning -- and I might just have to dance off my brunch there! ;)
