San Mateo County Fair San Mateo County Event Center, 2495 South Delaware, SF. The groovy posters don't lie — this classic, hippie-flavored street fair is great place to watch a battle of the band in the sun and ruminate on whether you can ever really have too much tie-dye.

Harken back to North Beach's days as a close-knit Italian community with this venerable street fair, featuring a traditional blessing of the animals at the National Shrine of St. Francis de Assisi, street painting, music, and snacks galore.
