Foster youth fundraiser

Thursday, June 5, the First Place Fund for Youth, a national organization devoted to developing support services for emancipated foster youth, presents the fundraiser "There's No Place like Home." Myanmar refugees

Palestine documentary

Shut down Bechtel

Thursday, June 5, help shut down Bechtel Corp. world headquarters in downtown San Francisco as activists around the world partake in similar actions at satellite Bechtel offices. Global Women's Strike, which has been organizing actions against Bechtel since the war against Iraq began, offers a program from noon to 2 p.m., but nonviolent direct actions, music, dance, and street theater are planned for the entire day. Protest PG&E

Wednesday, June 11, protest Pacific Gas and Electric Co.'s Hunters Point power plant.
