The year in queer By Heather SmithTHE YEAR 2004 has so far proven that queer community is spontaneous, MCed by no one and wholly unattended by the likes of Bud Light or Nair for men. Average folk leading under-decorated and poorly accessorized lives fall in love with each other over the water cooler or the salad dressing aisle. Parades and street dance parties abound, but we should remember that gay culture is made up of gay people. All of them. And only collectively can we celebrate a wholly diverse and eclectic community. This year we've shown San Francisco that we have something to offer. Read on to see what the city that loves to party offers in return.
