Wine S.N.O.B.? Don't be scared. With 75 varieties, the new wine bar S.N.O.B. (1327 Polk, SF. 415-440-SNOB, www.sfsnob.com) – short for Sonoma, Napa, or Beyond – may cater to discriminating palates, but it also offers advice for novices. Owner Liam Bigelow chose a tasting-room motif for the bar, complete with chairs and tables made out of wine barrels and lids. Specializing in Napa and Sonoma vintages, the bar also serves pairings of cheese and chocolate. (Kristina Peterson)

Art scene Lace up your trainers and head out to the first-ever Inner Sunset Art Walk, Sept. 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. More than three dozen Inner Sunset businesses have collaborated to create a masterpiece of an evening featuring local art, food, drinks, and even artists. All participating locations are within walking distance from each other and can be found at www.innersunsetartwalk.com.
