Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair

ALTERNATIVE PRESS

One of my roommates used to talk about anarchy like it was his job. The day I came home and saw his tattered books about chaos and disorder smothering my poor little copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul was the day I sent him off to buy a new bookshelf. Instead he discovered paradise, and I got a Dear John letter scribed on the back of a flyer for the 11th annual Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair. The BAABF caters to the needs of the alternative press and those who cherish it, exposing visitors to anarchist and activist publications, graphics, and ideologies. This year's event features exhibitions by more than 65 activist organizations, book publishers, and bookstores, as well as lectures by guest speakers including Michelle Tea, Ward Churchill, Bo Brown, Josh MacPhee, and Chaz Bufe.
