star.gif Bush on the 'hemorrhoid scandal'

This is President George W. Bush. I am outraged by the baseball hemorrhoid scandal. Uh. Steroid. Whatever.

(From the home answering machine of Sup. Tom Ammiano on Dec. 14, 2007)

Tom was spotted at the annual SFT Holiday party on Wednesday night, working the crowd, doing informal Ammianoliners (his enunciation is better in person), and letting people know he is running for Assemblyman Leno's seat. Sacramento can use some Ammiano and some Amminanoliners on a regular basis. B3

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County's Kitchen of Champions
Culinary Students Cook up First Christmas Feast

Oakland, CA December 15, 2007 - St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County's Kitchen
of Champions Culinary Program Students will get their chance to prepare
Christmas dinner for over 700 adults and children who will be visiting the St.
Vincent de Paul of Alameda County's Free Dining Room this holiday season.

Kitchen of Champions Culinary Program is a new food services training program
through St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County designed to provide homeless
adults with hands-on training, classroom education, case management, job
placement services and post-training follow-up. This mix prepares adults for a
variety of careers in the food services industry while also supporting their
success as they move into full or part-time employment.

The St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County's Free Dining Room located on 23rd
Street and San Pablo in Oakland is the oldest and only major facility in
Alameda County to provide hot meals to homeless and low-income men, women and
children 365 days a year.

As one student of the Kitchen of Champions said, "That I have been given the
opportunity to now be behind the serving line preparing food for those in need,
instead of in the line receiving the food, is both a blessing and an honor. I
am so grateful for the opportunity to be in the Kitchen of Champions."
