Justin Barker saw an opportunity on Halloween to denounce Fox News, but ended up in jail overnight for his effort. He was in the Castro just after 10:30 p.m. when he saw local Fox affiliate KTVU-Channel 2 reporter Amber Lee doing a live shot. He stepped behind her and yelled “Fox News is bullshit, Fox News sucks” on live television before the broadcast cut away to some B-roll footage. Suddenly, Barker found himself in trouble. "I go to walk away and three policeman come up and knock me to my knees and I get handcuffed," said Barker, who’s been charged with battery and resisting arrest. As KTVU news director Ed Chapuis told us, “At 10:30 during a live shot, he jumped in front of our camera and practically pushed our reporter to the ground.” But Barker said he didn’t touch the Lee, is non-violent, and was simply trying to exercise his free speech rights. In fact, he says he heard the police ask Lee if he touched her and she answered "I don't know." The footage that aired was inconclusive, but Lee appeared composed and unmolested when the shot returned to her about 30 seconds later. Chapuis said the station will push for prosecution, telling us, “How do you know the intent of someone who step up to disrupt your live shot?” In this case, the intent seemed clear: to denounce Fox News, a network that does, indeed, in all its Orwellian “fair and balanced” glory, suck.

KTVU Channel 2 News is NOT Fox. It is owned by Cox Communications, which also owns media outlets such as the Atlanta Journal Constitution. It has an agreement with Fox that allows KTVU to show programs such as the Simpsons on it its air.

Fox appears to have some semblence of reason on the air - then I see this waliking penis who shall remain nameless other than his obvious republican affiliation state that "oh my gosh" Obama once shook hands with....dare we say it....a fucking terrorist!!
Are you f'n kidding me? How does the incumbent deserve a "get out of shit obviously over my head" but the newbie has to suffer fools only fox would hire....
Saddest truth...even casual Canadian observers reel at the magnitude of your spectacular ineptitude.
When you find something newsworthy - give it a shake, otherwise, stand down ...if I need an amaturer hour I'll pull my own pants down
1 800 Go Fuck yurself Fox!

I hate fox news. They are all full of shit. They'd rather look good in front of the cam than give us real news. FOX network should be shut down. Everybody that works for fox has big egos and no soul. SHUT EM DOWN nobody likes to watch nearly 2 hours of depressing news everynight. I remember back in the 90's fox would air cartoons in the morning and after school, now it's all news, then judge shows then back to the news. FUCK OFF FOX

FOX does suck! AGREE, AGREE…I believe people ought to stop watching FOX altogether, bet that will make a change in their programming. They rely on what they consider to be an ignorant American audience to broadcast to every night. They express their views and opinions in an effort to sway Americans beliefs on current events for their own narcissism. If you are truly an informed American stay away from Fox and their idiocy and learn to gain your own knowledge based on facts and not overemphasized fabricated stories created by a network that thinks you are too stupid to ascertain otherwise. STOP WATCHING FOX! I stopped watching FOX altogether about 4 years ago and trust me, better yet trust you. I did, and in view of the fact that I dismissed that hideous network from my programming schedule; I have not missed much.

You have always screwed things up. We all HATE your channel.

That guy Justin Barker's experience is proof, as if more was needed, that corporate America, not freedom of speech and/or the Constitution, etc., rules this country. So typical the cops roughed this guy up while arresting him and then did that preemptive strike thing of claiming he was resisting arrest and that he battered the bimbo Fox news reporter. The media is owned by corporate America and the police protect the wealthy, what else is new. Disgusting, but business as usual, unfortunately.
