A measure of the meaning of this event is not only the promoter being a musician, a mayor who supports the freedom of individuality, a park that was the site of the freedom of expression of the 60s, and musicians and bands who have lived to see that these ideals are what the US needs to create a new renaissance of art for arts sake, peace for peace and childrens sake, and love for the sake of the planets future.

Summer of Love 40th reunion is going on right now and I cannot physically be there but my spirit soares the great meadow with love and smiles, just like it did in 1967. Dance on, beautiful people, and continue to spread the 'word' -- love conquers all, believe . . . peace.
