We all know there’s a housing crisis in our city. But that’s one of those big, overarching, culture/society issues that’s hard to wrap your mind around.

All you have to do is enter your address, your monthly rent, the number of bedrooms in the unit, and the number of units in the building, and the site will calculate how you measure up to other similar buildings in your area.
It’s quite a nifty tool, but I’m not sure for what. After all, it’s not very encouraging. Here are the only conclusions you can come to:
1. The exorbitant amount you’re paying is way more than the going rate, and in order to remedy the situation, you either have to move or fight your landlord.
2. The exorbitant amount you’re paying is the going rate, and there’s no chance you’ll ever pay less.
Either way? We’re all pretty much screwed.
