Still not done getting your Halloween party on? Pissed the party in the Castro is officially canceled? Not buying the
recommendation to stay home on Wednesday? Then check out the list of Halloween night events on our website , or stop by one of the fetes after the jump. At the very least, we promise you’ll have a place to potty while you party.

Hellgate Halloween
Sure, it’s a party in honor of a video game, but you know how we feel about Chromeo, so you shouldn’t be surprised we’re endorsing an event featuring our favorite Canadian electro-pop duo. Plus, there’s a complimentary bar.
10pm, guest list only (RSVP at www.viceland.com/hellgatehalloween)
Fat City, 314 11th St., SF www.viceland.com/hellgatehalloween
Holla-ween
Glitch music celebrates unnatural sounds. Halloween celebrates unnatural creatures. It’s a perfect match! Revel in both with dirty glitched-out funky dub hop masters like Danny Lorn, Cosmic Selectkor, and DJ Ripple at this sexy little club.
10pm, $5
Otis Lounge, 25 Maiden, SF
HallowGreen Party
What’s scarier than ghosts, goblins, and Snickers-induced tummy aches? What’ll happen to the world (and our culture) if we don’t start designing our homes and cities better – and greener. Celebrate Halloween hippie-style at this celebration at the Green City Gallery, featuring music by the Flux, a contest for sustainability-themed costumes (how do you go as Gray Water?), and plenty of green-themed exhibitions.
7pm, sliding scale entrance fee
Green City Gallery, 1950 Shattuck Ave., Berk. www.greencitygallery.org
Psycho Beach Party
San Francisco’s “Tahoe by the Sea” celebrates all things sandy and spooky with a beach massacre movie and music described as “psychobilly, phantom surf, haunted garage, dark glam, and the Devil’s own music: rock’n’roll.”
Unhappy hour at 4pm, event starts at 6pm
Riptide, 3639 Taraval, SF. www.ritipdesf.com
Show and Tell Variety Show
Amnesia already looks like the place vampires would perform burlesque, so what better place for a spooky Show and Tell Variety Show featuring Stars and Garters Theatre Company and Led Zeppelin cover-band Heavy Hindenburgh? It’s San Francisco, so expect puppets, vignettes, voodoo, meat, clogging, and, of course, burlesque.
9pm, $10
Amnesia, 853 Valencia, SF
Venni Vetti Vecci
If you’re stopping by this party, make sure your costume doesn’t include heels that are too high or wraps that are too binding, ‘cuz you’re gonna want to dance. With electronica, hip hop and crunk in one room (including Kitty D and Ana Sia of the Glitch Mob), funk and fusion in another (including live music), and reggae dance hall in the third, plus “The Zombie Series” artwork by Josh Powell.
9pm, $10-$15
Club Six, 60 6th St., SF. (415) 531-6593, www.clubsix1.com
Halloween Blood Bath 666
The badass women of http://www.myspace.com/redlinedjs Redline present a night of dubstep, electro, and drum and bass, including a costume contest at midnight.
9pm, free til 10, $5-$12 after 10
Underground SF, 424 Haight, SF. www.myspace.com/redlinedjs
For even more events, check out www.sfstation.com/halloween/ SF Station
And just in case you haven’t made your costume yet and were considering being someone famous, check out Nylon Magazine’s tips on who to be (and how), so you can avoid the obvious choices. (If Nylon’s recommending ‘em, after all, they’re already over-exposed. Yes?)

The information in "Show and Tell Variety Show" is incorrect regarding Stars & Garters. We played a Dead Rockstars show in Sacramento. Thanks for the link though!

Boy, is my face red (and not just from leftover Halloween makeup). Turns out Stars and Garters is the name of the theater company that put on the (spectacular) variety show. Same name as the band that played a dead rockstars show in Sacramento. My bad. (I've changed the reference in the post.) I recommend everyone check out both.
