Mike Lacey = Marge Schott?We don't want to drag all this us vs. them stuff up again -- especially since, like, we won -- but something uncanny has occurred. Village Voice Media honcho/bully Mike Lacey has been in some mighty hot water since he chose to use the "n-word" in a speech to a roomful of journalists on the anniversary of Martin Luther King's assassination. (Watch the video!).
Perhaps worst of all, he was trying to be cool.
That immediately put us in mind of a similar gaffe by former Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott, one which lead to her eventual downfall. So, like the Internet-savvy alt.weekly we are, we dialed up the Intertubez -- and look!
