"Honk for health care," shouted thousands of people gathered in front of City Hall last night as they showed their support for health care reform in the United States. The crowd included members from many organizations, including Single Payer Now, Organizing for America and young med-students who were out voicing their opinions on the necessary changes needed to fix our current failing health system.

It was positive and hopeful to see such a large turnout and also to acknowledge the diverse group of people at the rally because this is truly an issue that needs direct action, right now. Favorite chant of the event: "Hey, hey, ho, ho, the status quo has got to go. Hey, hey, ho, ho ..."

Glad to see that the Guardian covered this. There were a lot of people there--estimates of 5,000+. Interesting that the rabid anti-reform people who show up at town halls get lots of coverage while the thousands who show up in support get short shift.
Thanks.
