It Has Been Over Two Years Now, And I Want To Know What Happened To The Other Democratic Party Promises On Cleaning Up The Government?
It was on September 14, 2007, when Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement after President Bush signed sweeping lobbying and ethics reform legislation into law:
“With this bill, Democrats are keeping their promise to the American people. Voters sent Democrats to Washington in November to clean up the Republican Culture of Corruption that put what’s good for their party ahead of what’s good for America. Even with Republicans trying to block them every step of the way, Democrats passed sweeping lobbying and ethics reform to bring honest leadership back to Washington. Democrats will continue to stand up for the American people and uphold a government they can be proud of.
I'm a member of the Democratic Party - Democratic Reform Party.
