The guy was the major force behind Prop. 8, which banned gay marriage in California. As Bishop of Oakland, he led "pro-life boot camps" that trained hundreds of high school youth to fight against reproductive rights. And that was after he was Bishop of San Diego, a Diocese he left as they dealt with lawsuits following 150 claims from sexual abuse victims. Read more »
