The cheesy harmonies, the "whoa"s and "yeah"s, the sappy love songs: All are there in abundance. It's also the most obvious manifestation of the John/Paul dichotomy. Though the idea of John as the bad boy and Paul as the balladeer is largely accepted as a myth by Beatles fans, that dynamic is a lot closer to the truth than folks give it credit for, and on no album is it clearer than A Hard Day's Night.Read more »
http://www.sfbg.com/2014/07/22/hard-look-hard-days-night#comments Music Volume 48, Issue 43 Daniel Bromfield Tue, 22 Jul 2014 23:34:31 +0000 Kate Conger 30969 at http://www.sfbg.com Events: July 23 - 29, 2014 http://www.sfbg.com/listing/2014/07/22/events-july-23-29-2014

Listings are compiled by Guardian staff.
