Hi -- This is a cute new

Hi -- This is a cute new feature, but there's something very disconcerting about having these photos of (mostly?) women's bodies show only the bodies with heads cut off. Why not show faces? or show just one piece of the outfit -- instead of the whole bod with no cranium. thanks.

Thanks for your comment. We've been doing Street Threads for about a year and a half now, but recently we took a slight break while we switched to a new web format. We're not deliberately decapitating the pics (and believe me, we're very familiar with the Lacanian critique of female bondage in advertising and media) -- it's just the way the system automatically samples the pics for the homepage. We're trying to work out a better arrangement!
