Today Johnny and Tim talk about Glenn Beck's march on Washington -- and why all those people who rail about the inappropriateness of an Islamic cultural center in New York see nothing wrong with Beck dishonoring the memory of Martin Luther King Jr. Listen after the jump.

Does Beck know what the Civil Rights Movement was? It makes no sense.

I'm not sure which is worse, the antics of the right wing or Obama playing the role of newbie in internet chat, feeding the each and every troll lavishly until his own starve.

One need not respond to every post by Arthur Evans, and it is a reflection of how uncomfortably one handles power that one feels compelled to honor trolls.

The Democrats are performing a reprise of 1993/4, where the individual mandate for health insurance stands in for NAFTA. They had to have learned that catering to their business backers and screwing their voting base will put them out of power during the next midterms.

Half assed reforms like health insurance and finance satisfy neither capital nor voters. Forcing people to purchase crap products under the regime of "Citizens United" sets the worst kind of precedent for the return of feudal bonded serfdom.

So Democrat political incompetence is probably is not an accident. I mean, shit, with the full power of the executive branch to make any member of congress an offer they cannot refuse, with 60 votes in the Senate and a full house, blame falls with those who hold all of the cards but lose every hand.

Gavin Newsom has a worse hand in San Francisco, is must stupider than Obama, yet is able to dominate politics here given the tools on the table. Arnold Schwarzenegger likewise has a poor hand and a middling mind, but is able to hamstring and confound California Democrats at almost every turn. Jerry Brown is probably going to go down 45/55.

Capital, on the other hand, is on strike when it comes to creating jobs but is actively scabbing the economy by investing "all in" on purchasing government through buying elections and propaganda. Safely bailed out, finance capital is leveraging what we've given it in order to close the door on any efforts to put any controls on finance shenanigans and to get their hands on our dwindling income.

When Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin successfully set the terms of the debate and the Democrats are reduced to confining their political discourse to right wing terms, we've lost. But the Democrats seem to be engineered to lose, so that should not be a major surprise.

Good thing that the national and local Democrats demolished the Green Party by blaming us for Bush II's war that was enabled with Democrat votes! One cannot help but notice that once any organized force on the left disappeared, the Democrats felt free to screw their base even more vigorously than usual.

You are all getting waaaaaay to worried about nothing.

That fool will be whining into the same empty non-voting spiral of silence folks for years.

Relax and enjoy the offbeat comedy that is foxnews and wait until Papa Rupert dies... then the real evil begins.
