In today's episode, Johnny and Tim ask the $119 million question: How come after Meg Whitman has spent a fortune on advertising, she still isn't ahead? And nobody knows who exactly is going to vote in November, either. Listen after the jump.

ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN MILLION DOLLARS!!!! Here's the rub: I am unemployed. I will be losing my car on Monday and we're a month behind on the rent. The car may sound like a luxury, but here it would be my only way of getting to and from work to support my family. Rent? Good luck finding room in the family shelters. We had to buy my son's school supplies because our public school system is too broke to provide it. ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN MILLION DOLLARS???? Some of my son's classmates are even broker than us and can't afford ANY school supplies. I know at least 8 former home owners who have had their homes repossessed and are, as they say, S.O.L. I have friends who have been unemployed for almost 2 years: not lazy bastards. Looking hard for work that will feed the family. Sorry to alert the rich moralistic right wing politicians, but try feeding a family of four on $8.50/hr. Let me know how that works out. ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN MILLION DOLLARS?!?!?!?! Obscene. That would put a lot of meals on the tables of families who need them. Would pay for school supplies for the kids, not to mention expand the school lunch program. Meg Whitman sure has an expensive ego.

The plutocratic queen of eBay is fast becoming Captain Ahab going after that White Whale being the governorship blowing away her fortune. Yet, after $119 mega large ones, she still can't break ahead of Brown. I'll say this, this onslaught of money simply highlights how the whole system is broken and that we need to start to look at something akin to public financing. When government jobs become another trophy for the wealthy, which it has looked that way for some time, then it's time to hit the democratic reset button. She calls herself a capitalist yet so far she has failed to see that whatever she's doing isn't seeing a return on her money.
