Let's get roasting Chris Daly!

Guardian executive editor Tim Redmond, city editor Steve Jones, and publisher Bruce Brugmann recall their fondest Chris Daly moments. Video shot inside the Guardian's HQ on the winter solstice by the Guardian's Rebecca Bowe and narrated by the Guardian's Sarah Phelan. Watch it after the jump!

Guardian there are some smart people in SF who have ideas, so why do you bother with Daly?
To quote the man, I suspect the majority of SF says "FO" Daly you are a simple man from the Suburbs, now return to where you came.

It's acceptable to you Guardian that Daly uses profanity at the Board Meetings? But not for the Guardians filter. That is just BS

Personally, I don't recall ever writing that using profanity at Board meetings is a great idea. In fact, I think it plays into the hands of those who would divert the discussion from the real meaty policy issues. And let's face it, it's a lot easier to write about Donkey Kong comments-, and folks are more likely to read an article about Daly saying the F-word, than write or read an article about budget cuts. In fact, I can remember plenty of times when I was sitting all alone in the press box during a lengthy budget discussion--until Daly started getting out there. And suddenly, the press box filled with reporters, most of whom wrote everything about Daly's tantrum and almost nothing about the policy point that had him blowing his top.

He is finally out of here - Only problem is morons like him belong behind bars, not owning one.

Well in today's Post "The Daly files" you pretty much condone his behavior.
Its a little late now and who really cares. But it would have been nice to see the Guardian give him some crap when he decided SF wasn't good enough for his family, or for you even to write what you are now saying; that his behavior did damage to his cause.
Anyway who cares now.
