To the far right and left is a living document.

To a progressive the constitution is about opportunism, the federal government gets to set immigration law when it comes to Arizona, unless SF progressives differ. Listening to progressives pontificate on the constitution is like listening to Robert Bork wonder on about states rights and abortion to his advantage. The citizens of the US are not safe from when either side, Redmond and his robot progressives would legislate your life for your own good at every turn. Obey!

Tim,

regarding your question, "could you really kill someone who broke into your house?"

I own a shotgun. I've never fired it, but, if I heard a prowler in my home, I would call out to him from my bedroom and tell him I was armed. I would then pump a round into the chamber. The sound of a round being forced into the chamber of a pump-action shotgun makes a loud and unmistakeable sound. In fact, a pump-action shotgun makes this same sound even if the gun is empty of rounds. Either way, it scares the shit out of most people.

As for a dog - some people don't have time to take care of an animal properly. People shouldn't own pets unless they are able to properly care for them. I realize some progressives don't care about animal cruelty, as demonstrated by Bevan Dufty's ridiculous WOOF plan, but many other San Franciscans do.

All those gun nuts are friggin' lunatics. The Second Amendment was intended for a state ordained militia to protect the state from rabble rousers--it was not intended for every lunatic out there.

The "Get Therapy" is really central to the question here. A lunatic...

The state demands a waiting period, registration of the weapon, a background check... But when the lunatic is hell bent on murder and mayhem...

Twelve innocent lives were lost... Fifty-eight were endangered... No one needs that weapon, certainly not an assault weapon. The carnage of innocent life gets sickening...
