Another victory for the champions of the "unborn"

Anti-abortion picketers

In a grand piece of political theater, Wisconsin Republicans passed a measure 17-15 in their senate that would require an ultrasound prior to an abortion. "Theater" because they had the votes already and because it gave them the chance to grandstand "passionately" about this particularly ridiculous law (the idea being that if the uninformed baby vessel got to see what she was killing, no abortions--like she didn't know what she was doing and wandered into a clinic looking for a bagel and cream cheese and walked out sans fetus).

Or maybe that the idea being that if you make the already ugly and gruesome abortion procedure into a humiliating, painful, degrading and drawn out marathon of misery, the wimmens will be less likely to "kill their babies".

OK. That does make sense in its way. But.......

The male half of these pregnancies don't seem to have a parallel punishment. Why is that? Why not a law that requires that a physician stick a biopsy needle down the ureter to let the "offending party feel the pain of a baby's death?"

Makes sense to me.

Looks like another Republican win in Wisconsin. I'm all for abortion, as long as it's not taken to gruesome, Gosnell-like lengths, but the liberals could probably make a better case for it if they weren't so consistently celebratory about their right to kill babies. I can never tell whether abortion or birth holds more meaning for them.

Conservatives would probably make a better case against it if they weren't so consistently pompous and hypocritical in their judgement of others. I can never tell whether a fetus (which is not a baby) or a dollar holds more meaning for them since they routinely worship the latter at the expense of the actual living breathing children they pretend to care about.

Comparing fetuses to dollars. Hope you feel better after your little tantrum. Obviously we hold opposing views, as "pompous and hypocritical...judgment of others" is for me a defining characteristic of liberals. As well as "tolerant of everyone they don't already hate."

The same could be said for the pro-"life" movement. I can't tell if pro-life actually means pro-LIFE or pro-BIRTH. Seems to me like those who claim to be pro-life are only pro-life when a fetus or fertilized egg is involved. There never seems to be outrage when children OUTSIDE the womb are murdered.

Judgment of others is all this asshole knows how to do. Noticed Trump was sentenced at the high court of JAW flapping.

"The male half of these pregnancies don't seem to have a parallel punishment."

Excellent quip, JAW. Keep up the good work.

Very clever. Can't see thru that at all.

Notice "as usual" tagged onto the end of two different commenters praising JAW's mythic writing and reporting abilities.

It's hilarious that he's so transparent in these attempts to prop himself up.

independent corroborators of JAW's "excellence" and then fires his aging punk ass.

to praise his own work.

JAW has his job because he was friends with Tim. Now that Tim's gone I expect JAW to follow very shortly.
